| Bridge Extension Table, Large |
Adaptable Table |
| Bridge Table (2006) is a fine example of how his products are imbued
with both functional necessity and feeling. Borrowing from some of the
world's most graceful bridges, the frame of this table arcs underneath
the elliptical tabletop, creating ample legroom as well as the signature
look of this piece. To extend the Bridge Table, simply unlock the top's
latches, slide the sides apart and insert the leaves, which fit
seamlessly into place |
Mixing materials is one of the cornerstones of Nordic design, and
the Adaptable Table takes that tradition one step further by allowing
you to mix materials as you wish. This is a table that adapts to your
interior and taste, rather than the other way around. TAF's work has
been exhibited at MoMA in New York and the Swedish National Museum in
Stockholm |

| Lancaster Dining Table
|
Tavola Table
|
| British designer Michael Young has spent 15 years strengthening the
connection between modern design and the technical abilities of
manufacturers in Asia. Designed to coordinate with the Lancaster Chair,
the Lancaster Dining Table features legs and tabletop in solid ash,
harvested from fallen timber near Lancaster, PA (thus the name of the
table), and die-cast aluminum accents available in polished or matte
finish. “I am passionate about natural materials that live forever,”
says Young. “The wood creates a softer edge, whilst the aluminum keeps
it sophisticated.” |
Versatility and value distinguish the Tavola Glass Table (2003) from
other dining or work surfaces. Expertly crafted by an established
Italian manufacturer, the Tavola features a thick tempered-glass top
suspended above a powder-coated steel frame on eight cubic pillars |

Zero Table - 47 in Glass Top

| Jesús Gasca's Zero Table (1995) embodies the level of design,
materials and craftsmanship of a modern classic. The softly beveled
tabletop, available in a range of natural wood veneers, has an elegant
lightness of form that suits interiors both private and public. |
Jesús Gasca's Zero Table (1995) embodies the level of design,
materials and craftsmanship of a modern classic. The 12mm thick tempered
glass top, which is adhered to the central column using an ultra-violet
light process, has an elegant airiness of form that suits interiors both
private and public |

Lance Console Extension Table
|
Deneb Table
|
| For those dedicated urban dwellers who live without the benefit of a
dining room. A unique solution. When closed, the extension table can
neatly fit against a wall to serve as a console table for display
purposes in an entryway or living room. To provide a comfortable dining
surface, the table can be pulled away from the wall and opened to seat
up to six people. |
A sleek example of cool minimalism, the Deneb Dining Table (1988)
celebrates materials in their purest form, combining an austere aluminum
frame with a clean-edged frosted or clear glass top |

Doyl Chair |
Laclasica Chair |
| In creating their Doyl Chair (2011), they challenged themselves to
invert the topography of a typical chair." The use of padding enabled us
to invert the classical shape of the leather seat, which is normally
concave," says Gabriele. "In this case we made it convex to create an
original design." The fact that it also enhances comfort was an "a-ha!"
moment for the designers |
The newest chair from Jesús Gasca, the Laclasica Chair (2010)
showcases this designer's ability to combine the traditional principles
found in classical chairs with the needs and aesthetics of modern
design. A beautiful, artful and swooping form, the Laclasica suits a
variety of interiors |

Gubi Chair with Walnut Base |
Savile Chair |
| Its guiding principles are still aesthetics, innovation,
functionality and quality – every piece in Gubi's assortment of products
must offer something special "by virtue of its design, materials or
technology." The Gubi Chair fulfills all three and is "the very first
industrial product based on an innovative technique of molding 3D
veneer," |
A padded and upholstered dining chair that is comfortable,
streamlined and easy to clean by British designer Matthew Hilton.
Constructed with a solid oak frame, the Savile Chair has a slightly
angled back for lumbar support and a foam seat for enduring comfort. The
solid oak legs are tapered for an elegant profile from any angle, and
the fabric slipcover is removable for cleaning. |

Møller Model 57 Armchair |
Møller Model 62 Armchair |
| Even today the company continues to use old craft traditions like
handwoven seats, which, on the Model 57 Armchair (1959), are made from
one continuous 425-foot-long piece of cord. To make their furniture
frames, Møller hand-selects raw wood from environmentally friendly
sources and never uses machines for the final polish, as these devices
treat all wood the same and can't replicate the finish that comes from
polishing by hand |

| Wishbone Chair
|
Wishbone Chair
|
| In 1944, Danish designer Hans Wegner began a series of chairs that
were inspired by portraits of Danish merchants sitting in Ming Chairs.
One of these chairs was the Wishbone Chair (1949), also known as the “Y”
or “CH-24,” which has been produced by the Danish firm Carl Hansen & Son
since 1950 |
Even today, the seat is still hand woven from paper cord, a durable
material developed during WWII as a substitute for jute. Using the best
natural materials, the sculptural Wishbone is made to last for
generations and offers outstanding sitting comfort. Made in Denmark |

Hans J. Wegner’s brand of Danish modernism has been dubbed “organic
functionalism.” His Elbow Chair (1956), a compact and stackable dining
chair, was designed in that same ethos of natural modernity. Intuitively
ergonomic, it features lower back support and sturdy, balanced legs. The
lightly padded round seat subtly echoes the curved lines of the back
rest, while the soaped oak finish allows the natural characteristics of
the wood to come through. Stacks five high. Made in Denmark |

Bottega Armchair
|
Bottega Chair
|
| Covering the slender but strong steel frames, the leather is
hand-sewn to hug every angle and curve. The seats are lightly padded to
encourage leisurely dining. This combination of suppleness and strength
found in Bottega is not always easy to find in fixed seating. A choice
of leather colors |
The Bottega Side Chair (2003) is uniquely constructed with a
harmonic sheet steel back that flexes with the user for continuous
support. Designers Renzo Fauciglietti and Graziella Bianchi then wrapped
this chair in smooth-as-silk stain resistant leather |

| Brno Flat Bar Chair
|
Lily Armchair
|
| The Brno Flat Bar Chair (1930) from KnollStudio® is a masterpiece of
structure, paying tribute to early modernism's gravity-defying
skyscrapers. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe to have a cantilevered
base, the Brno offers the comfort of an armchair without the old-line
stuffiness or bulk of upholstery. The padded seat is upholstered in
supple full-grain Spinneybeck leather for long-enduring appearance
retention and ease of maintenance |
Don’t be fooled by the delicate curves and visual lightness – Arne
Jacobsen’s Lily Armchair (aka Model 3208) was designed to withstand the
rigors of daily commercial use |

Panton Dining Table |
System 1-2-3 Dining Chair in Fabric |
| Originally designed to work with Panton's iconic 1960 cantilevered
chair, this Dining Table (1965) remained a prototype and was not put
into production until now. |
"I want to design furniture that grows up out of the floor," said
Verner Panton. "To turn the furniture into something organic. Which
never has four legs." Pushing materials to their limits was a passion of
this Danish architect and designer, who always approached design
challenges in unconventional ways |
In a 1956 cover story in Time magazine, Eero Saarinen
said he was designing a collection to "clear up the slum of legs in the U.S.
home." Later that year, he completed his Pedestal Table and Tulip™ Chair
Collection (1956) and obliterated the "slum" by creating a cast aluminum base
inspired by a drop of high-viscosity liquid
