| Moravia Table - Rectangular
|
Tondern Dining Table
|
| Since 1861, the Ton Factory in the Czech Republic has been using its
founder Michael Thonet’s innovative processes to create contract-quality
tables and chairs. The understated elegance of this Table is favored
among restaurants and bars for its enduring style and construction, as
well as its ability to seat two diners comfortably or to be lined up end
to end without sacrificing leg room |
In the 1960s, Hans Wegner (pronounced veg-ner in English)
softened the edges of what was typically thought of as Danish modern.
Eliminating the sharpness found in other designers’ tables and chairs
had an impact on aesthetics and comfort, the latter of which was
paramount to this designer |

| Spanna Extension Table
|
Tavola Glass Table
|
| Extendable tables that open with a simple lift and slide cannot be
beat in terms of ease and safety, which is what makes the glass-topped
Spanna Table so appealing. When closed, it fits into compact kitchens
and dining areas to comfortably seat four people. With the design's
seamless extension mechanism, the table smoothly extends to accommodate
up to six people, with plenty of legroom to go around |
Features a tempered, clear 3/8" thick glass top suspended above a
powder-coated steel frame on eight cubic pillars. The table's elegant
lines are further resolved with finely beveled edges and rounded
corners. |

| Spanna Rectangular Extension Table
|
Brio Table
|
| Telescoping dining tables like the Spanna Rectangle Table, which
expands by a simple "lift and slide," can't be beat for either ease or
safety. The all-wood Rectangle Table fits comfortably into compact
spaces, accommodating six people with ease |
From a company that specializes in the art of adjustability, the
Brio Table (2001) goes from table to bar height-and anywhere in
between-in seconds. Designed to have the fluid mechanics and ease of
industrial machinery, it smoothly raises and lowers with a
lever-activated gas cylinder. |

Prism Glass Table - Rectangle
|
| Jesús Gasca's Zero Table (1995) embodies the level of design,
materials and craftsmanship of a modern classic. The softly beveled
tabletop, available in a range of natural wood veneers, has an elegant
lightness of form that suits interiors both private and public. |
Jesús Gasca's Zero Table (1995) embodies the level of design,
materials and craftsmanship of a modern classic. The 12mm thick tempered
glass top, which is adhered to the central column using an ultra-violet
light process, has an elegant airiness of form that suits interiors both
private and public |
The angular beauty of this sleek glass table draws upon elegant
precedents: the strict architecture of Marcel Breuer's seminal work and
the clean geometry of Le Corbusier's "equipment for living." |

|
Lance Console Extension Table
|
Deneb Table
|
| For those dedicated urban dwellers who live without the benefit of a
dining room. A unique solution. When closed, the extension table can
neatly fit against a wall to serve as a console table for display
purposes in an entryway or living room. To provide a comfortable dining
surface, the table can be pulled away from the wall and opened to seat
up to six people. |
A sleek example of cool minimalism, the Deneb Dining Table (1988)
celebrates materials in their purest form, combining an austere aluminum
frame with a clean-edged frosted or clear glass top. |

| Ant Chair - 3 Leg
|
Ant Chair
|
| Jacobsen shaped the core of Danish design identity when he
accommodated three different bends in one piece of plywood, simply by
narrowing the chair back. The semi-lacquer painted finish gives you
rich, uniform color with a very subtle wood texture. |
Originally designed for the canteen at Novo Nordisk, an
international Danish healthcare company. Original design and licensed
manufacture by Republic of Fritz Hansen. Made in Denmark. This chair is
ideally suited to the human body. Its seatback has a comfortable give
and its waterfall seat edge doesn’t press into legs |

| Cesca Armchair - Leather
|
Cesca Side Chair - Cane
|
| The simple design pairs the industrial age aesthetic of tubular
steel with leather upholstery. “It’s among the 10 most important chairs
of the 20th century,” said Cara McCarty, associate curator, department
of architecture and design at MoMA. |
Three years after designing his iconic Wassily Chair, which is
believed to be the first bent tubular steel chair design, Marcel Breuer
created the Cesca Chair (1928). Named in tribute to his daughter
Francesca, the simple design pairs the industrial age aesthetic of
tubular steel with caning and wood. |

| Lizz Chair
|
Spoleto Chair
|
| The light, ultra-streamlined Lizz Chair (2007) is named after Liz
Taylor, who may not be flattered to know the chair has a wide seat and
backrest. Still, this comfortable chair has an understated elegance
that’s hard to ignore. Lizz is manufactured as a single piece, using
glass-blowing technology, and the unique thermoplastic technopolymer
material is scratch resistant and weatherproof. Italy |
Ufficio Tecnico – Knoll’s in-house technical team of engineers and
designers – created this cantilevered tubular metal chair as an elegant
solution for tight spaces. The compact footprint of the Spoleto Chair
(1971) makes it a suitable chair for conference tables, dining areas,
kitchen nooks or office spaces |

| Allegro Full-back Chair
|
Anna Chair with Leather Seat
|
Antica Leather Armchair
|
| On each piece, the durable, stain-resistant leather is expertly
tailored and hand stitched to fit the frame. The contours of the sturdy
steel frame are just visible, lending definition to the slim legs and
backrest. The seat is lightly padded for comfort |
With its disciplined purist lines, the Anna Chair emphasizes
impeccable materials and craft. |
A rare blend of comfort and formalism, the Antica Chair (2001) has a
thick, pillowed seat cushion contained within a spare, angular
structure. Steel legs and frame lend strength to the compact design;
high-shine top grain leather makes for chic and sophisticated
upholstery. |

Globus Chair - Wood
|
Bottega Armchair
|
Series 7 Chair - Colored Ash
|
| Introduced in 1994, the Globus Chair has already become a design
classic, used in restaurants and public spaces around the world. Most
recently, it was installed as the seating at Santiago Calatrava's new
pavilion at the Milwaukee Art Museum |
Covering the slender but strong steel frames, the leather is
hand-sewn to hug every angle and curve. The seats are lightly padded to
encourage leisurely dining. This combination of suppleness and strength
found in Bottega is not always easy to find in fixed seating. A choice
of leather colors |
The Series 7 Chair debuted in 1955 at the H55 exhibition in Sweden,
and the appeal of what remains one of the most copied chairs of the
modern era is its shape. The chair is ideally suited to the human body,
its seatback has a comfortable "give" and its waterfall seat edge
doesn't press into legs. Arne Jacobsen |

Bottega Chair
|
Era Chair
|
Allegro Full-back Chair
|
| The Bottega Side Chair (2003) is uniquely constructed with a
harmonic sheet steel back that flexes with the user for continuous
support. Designers Renzo Fauciglietti and Graziella Bianchi then wrapped
this chair in smooth-as-silk stain resistant leather |
Defined by its dependable bentwood construction and simple form, the
Era Chair (1859) has been in continuous production for more than 150
years. The resulting chair is graceful, lightweight and surprisingly
strong – the latter of which has been continually proven in cafes and
restaurants all over the globe. |
Smartly designed, the Allegro Chair, Counter Stool and Barstool
merge traditional craft values with a purely modern form. Giovanna
Modonutti's passionate approach to design - a synthesis of her mother's
experience with designing chairs and her father's career in leather
manufacturing - is evident in this rigorously produced collection. |

In a 1956 cover story in Time magazine, Eero Saarinen
said he was designing a collection to "clear up the slum of legs in the U.S.
home." Later that year, he completed his Pedestal Table and Tulip™ Chair
Collection (1956) and obliterated the "slum" by creating a cast aluminum base
inspired by a drop of high-viscosity liquid
