English History plus the Kings and Queens of England

English history has a continuing impact on France. Often the royal families intermarried, Eleanor of Aquitaine married both! Eleanor of Aquitaine (a ruler in her own name, married the French king, ditched him, married the English king and raised 2 kings--think what she could have done if she hadn't been under house arrest all those years!!); Henry VIII (his sisters and children are just as interesting as his 8 wives!); from the daring of Sir Francis Drake to the will of Elizabeth I to the long reign of Victoria to the current Queen Elizabeth.  It's all here in chronological order.
