Florence Knoll Bassett Storage

Florence Knoll Bassett almost single-handedly defined the look of modern corporate interiors in the 1950s and ’60s. The simple, refined design has a white Arabescato top (the same marble used on the Saarinen Pedestal Table) and ebonized oak wood veneers, and is appropriate for a dining room, living room or office space. Jens Risom Contemporary Furniture

This collection has a Scandinavian sensibility that works with modern and traditional settings. By Danish designer Jens Risom, it is testament to the simplicity and ingenuity that is so often found in timeless modern designs. Niels Bendtsen Contemporary Seating

If you ask Niels Bendtsen why his Neo Collection (1998) is just as relevant today as when he first designed it, he'll point out its proportions, which are something he's developed and perfected over time. An easy-to-live-with and easy-to-clean seating collection.

Contemporary Tables

Eclipse Nesting Tables (Set of 3) Moebius Table
 Eclipse Nesting Tables  Moebius Table
Jon Gasca was inspired by nature when he designed the Eclipse Nesting Tables (2009) – but quality, affordability and versatility followed suit. Each Table in this set of three is a different shape and different height, allowing for endless configurations. Discovered in Parma, Italy, but with its endless looping base and delicately suspended glass surface, this is a design that defies national boundaries. The solid walnut base flares and narrows in six arcs, creating a look of poised animation

Pool Coffee Table - Low Pool Side Tables Little Friend Adjustable Height Table
Niels Bendtsen’s Pool Table Collection (2004) is a juxtaposition of undisturbed flat water (like a table) and man-made squares and rectangles (like a pool). Highlighting these shapes are the green edges of the thick glass and reflections in the frosted or black tabletops A variety of sizes offer several nesting possibilities, easily arranged to fit individual needs Inspiration comes from many places, and in the case of Kasper Salto's Little Friend Table (2005), it was a Disney cartoon character. The "Little Helper" was a humanoid robot with a lightbulb for a head who first appeared in 1956 as an assistant to Gyro Gearloose, and sometimes even as an inventor himself. Rather than a moveable chair used with a stationary table, this is a moveable table to be used with a stationary chair, sofa or bed.

Sleeper Sofas

Twilight Sleep Sofa - Black Frame Twilight Sleep Sofa
Designed in response to a furniture competition at the Arhus School of Architecture in Denmark in 1999, the Twilight Sleep Sofa ingeniously accomplishes what many conventional convertible sofas cannot do: It functions as a single person daybed or easily unfolds for multiple sleepers Winner of a furniture competition at the Århus School of Architecture in Denmark in 1999, Flemming Busk’s Twilight Sleep Sofa distills the concept of a convertible couch to a simple cylinder and rectangle. A compact and nicely scaled sofa, the bolster pillow adjusts to three different positions for customized seat depths and lumbar support.

Contemporary European Seating

Nube Armchair Teak Folding Stool

Right angles combine with sensuous curves in the design of the Nube Armchair (2008). Jon and Jesús Gasca’s Armchair is a startlingly simple and architectural structure that can be viewed from any angle. With contrasting colors (one color for the angular parts, a different tone for the curved) and an exposed, chromed steel frame, the Nube works individually or grouped. Danish designer Jens Quistgaard, whose immensely popular Dansk tableware pieces helped define Scandinavian modern in postwar America, designed this Teak Folding Stool. Employed as a seat, side table or footstool, its strength and stability comes from its triangular construction. Lightweight for portability, use the Stool indoors or out, then fold it up and tuck it away until next time.

Vega Ottoman Freja Sofa
The Vega Collection (2005) provides a unique solution for environments used for socializing, lounging and sleeping. Created by designers Busk & Hertzog, Vega consists of a multifunctional Sofa, Chaise and Ottoman. Aptly named after the Scandinavian goddess of love, fertility and rain, the Freja Sofa (2004) by Swedish designer Annika Larsson is a design of abundance and indulgence.

Bertoia Asymmetric Chaise with Seat Pad Taburet M Stacking Stool
With his iconic seating collection, Harry Bertoia transformed industrial wire rods into a new furniture form. The events that made this work possible began a decade earlier at Cranbrook Academy of Art when Bertoia met Florence Knoll Bassett (then Florence Schust). Years later, the Italian-born designer was invited to work for Florence and her husband Hans Knoll. The Taburet M Stacking Stool is almost pure abstraction, making minimum impact on space and redefining "seat" in the simplest sense. Yet, the stool is quite substantial, offering a low, comfortable seat

Malena Sofa - Leather Malena Armchair - Walnut Frame - Velvet
Jon Gasca's Malena Collection (1997) has character and detail that stand out from every angle. Two sweeping back legs frame a distinctive ladder back, which lightens the normally heavy form of most 3-seat upholstered sofas. Malena Armchair - Leather Gisele Lounge Chair
The solid beech wood frame is available in an assortment of wood stains, and the graceful curve of the back slats provides excellent lumbar support. The seat and back cushions follow the contours of the chair and are upholstered in supple, but durable, semi-aniline leather. Two or more Malena chairs arranged side by side create a theater seating effect. Intrigued by the puzzle of how to create a chair that provides both comfort and ventilation, Aristeu Pires experimented with many types of ropes and fibers before finding the right solution for his Gisele Lounge Chair (2003).
